Lumvale PDF works on your machine. This article says exactly what leaves it, so you can check the claim rather than take it on trust.
Nothing, until you act
Opening, editing, signing or exporting a document sends nothing. There is no background telemetry, no usage analytics, and no "anonymous statistics" channel. If the app is not showing you a dialog about sending something, nothing is being sent.
When you report a problem
Two things go, and both are visible to you before you press Send:
- Your message — the text you typed.
- A technical summary, only if you tick the box. Four values: the app version, the operating system, the processor architecture, and your language setting.
Optionally, an email address if you want a reply.
What is deliberately not in that list
- The document you had open, or any part of it.
- File names, folder names, or your user name. If any of those appear in the technical summary — a crash detail can contain a file path — they are removed before the report is sent, not after it arrives.
- Anything from other applications.
How to verify this yourself
The report is an ordinary HTTPS request, and you can watch it. On any platform, a network inspector (Fiddler, Charles, or your browser's developer tools pointed at the same endpoint) will show the request body in full. It is short, and it is readable.
We would rather you checked than believed us.
How long we keep it
A support conversation is kept while it is useful and for a period afterwards, so that if you write back about the same problem we still have the context. The original message is kept longer than the summary, because it is the only record of what you actually said.
If you want a report deleted, reply to it and ask. There is no form for this and no waiting period.
